New! Sales Tip of the Week
Keys to Boosting Loyalty:
- Become an integral part of each buyer's overall business strategy.
-
Determine how the changing marketplace is affecting buyers most.
- Find ways to branch out and learn more about buyers' concerns.
- Manage time better so you can reach out to all buyers rather than just a small percentage.
- Be proactive rather than reactive, anticipating buyers' changing needs.

Sales Idea of the Week
Frequently, prospective clients think they only need to replace their current annual salary to protect their family. Click here for a brochure to quickly calculate a realistic face amount of life insurance in the event of the wage earner's premature death.

Important Annuity Information
Current Annuity Rates
Why Annuities, Why Now? Statistics show that 80% of people over age 50 have a bank CD and according to bankrate.com the best one year CD is 3.25% (3.90% for a five year CD). The solution is simple, a 6 year 5% rate with American National Life (4.90% under $100,000). Ask your customers over age 50, “Are you happy with your CD rate?”. You can provide them a solution! Click here for all PLUS annuity offerings. For a quote, contact the marketing team at (800) 887-7587, Option 2 or plusmarketing@plusonweb.com.

Important LTC/DI Information
2/17- Mutual of Omaha LTC Teleconference
Learn about how Mutual of Omaha can help get your LTC business issued faster on Tuesday, February 17, 2009 at either 9 a.m. or 3 p.m. Central Time. Just dial 1-877-511-4819 a few minutes before the teleconference is scheduled to begin and mention "long-term care training" to the operator.

MoneyGuard offers a single premium pay option and a flexible payment option. Key Person Replacement insurance for employers is now available from Principal in MI and many states.  Click here for Highlights.

Business Loan Protection Rider
A rider to cover business loan liability in case of disability can be added to a Principal Overhead Expense policy covering other business-related expenses or “alone” for a client interested in purchasing only loan protection (the corresponding OE insurance policy will be issued with a zero dollar benefit).  Available in MI and other states. Click here for state approvals on both of these new offerings.

MetLife LTC – New rates / New application
MetLife LTC rates changed 1/16/2009.  Contact LTCandDImarketing@plusonweb.com for any re-quotes or supplies you may need, or download new software if you run your own.  Click here for instructions.

Selling LTCi makes sense now more than ever - JH flier and letter
John Hancock has a new producer flier that outlines the reasons you should be thinking about how you can help protect your clients with LTCI during these economic times. They have also provided a new letter that can be used to reach out to prospects.

LTC Training Requirements by State – Be Prepared!
LTC State-Mandated Education Requirements
Requirements are changing frequently as more and more states adopt LTC Partnership Programs as a result of the Deficit Reduction Act of 2005 or of the NAIC Model Regulation. If you need CE credits, why not take your state’s 8-hour LTC course and be ready? For current information from ClearCert about your state’s specific requirements, click here. You do NOT need to log in or join! Other tabs on this site provide valuable information, too. For Michigan, some carriers have specific requirements (Genworth, Hancock, MoneyGuard). Please see the PLUS website for those carrier requirements, or contact our LTC Team at LTCandDIMarketing@plusonweb.com.
